Students who are deemed competent for this qualification will receive TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. The 12 units of competency in this course are nationally recognised. There are 6 core units plus 6 electives to do to be awarded this qualification.

Typically, the volume of learning is 0.5 to 2 years (600 to 2400 hours). The course duration depends on how quickly a candidate can work through the learner guides and assessment workbooks and in turn demonstrate competence.

Course Overview
This qualification reflects the roles of entry-level vocational education and training (VET) teachers, trainers and assessors who are delivering training services to vocational learners and assessment services to candidates.

The roles may be undertaken by those working in registered training organisations (RTOs), enterprises, community organisations, schools and other VET provision contexts.

How the program is delivered
Currently Black Diamond offers the qualification as face-to-face training.

Face to face mode
The face-to-face program may be delivered in an intensive block format or divided up into periods with time breaks in between. In addition to these week, there is also time required for self-directed study, industry placement, self-assessments, third party reports and post assessment interviews.
